A lovely wedding on the South Coast, we were asked to help at late notice due to an issue with their previously booked DJ.   We were pleased to be able to help, and we played alongside a band for much of the evening, managing all the announcements, wedding breakfast music, and playing between sets keeping everyone on the dancefloor.  I love working with bands, it becomes quite competitive as to who can get the dancefloor busiest, and yours truly seldomly loses!

“Morning guys, just a quick ping to say a very big thank you to you both for your disco expertise, announcements, and fabulous music,  I had some great feedback from many of the guests I shall keep your contact details as I am sure your superb services shall be used again by myself and, or one of our guests. Once again many thanks.”

”You were brilliant, thank you, you really worked the crowd and it couldn’t have been any better.  If I hear of any more parties, I will recommend you.  In fact, my sister is getting married next year in Hampshire and you can expect a call!”

– David,  Groom

This was a lovely upmarket wedding disco at Goodwood Hotel.  We had been booked a year in advance for this one, and a carefully designed custom playlist included 80′s, 90′s, R&B, and  some action songs, like Harlem Shake.

“Guys, I had an absolutely brilliant night tonight, thank you.  The guests have all asked me for your number so please hand out cards, they have all commented on how good the music selection was.”

– Elaine (3oth Birthday in Horsham)

This was a great function, booked well in advance as Heart and Soul are very busy throughout the year, more so as we approach the main wedding season.  This was a smaller party of around 40 guests, and we managed to keep it interesting in an intimate environment.  It was optional fancy dress, and 80′s and 90′s theme only, and the guests really made an effort to dress up for the party.  From Madonna to the Blues Brothers and Super Mario, it was a great night for all.  Thank you to the host who kept us well ferd and watered, when you work a long night its much appreciated!

Too many tracks to list, bust some of the requests included:

  • Whigfield – Saturday Night
  • Madonna – Holiday
  • Wham – Club Tropicana
  • Run DMC – Walk this Way
  • Van Halen – Jump
  • Sir Mixalot – Baby Got Back
  • Vengaboys -Boom Boom Boom

”I would just like to say that you guys were fantastic tonight.  The music was perfect, you played everything on my playlist, and we all had a great time.  Thanks for helping make our wedding special”

-Anthony & Louise (Bride and Groom)

This was a lovely Wedding Ceremony at Stanhill Court Hotel, in Surrey.  When we arrived we noticed a distinct Star Wars theme, which was different, and the first dance had the bride and groom surrounded by guests with light sabres.  Although it was a mixed crowd, those on the dancefloor for most of the night were late twenties, and had a great time.

”Thank you so much for the brilliant disco, you certainly made my party go with a swing.  I will highly recommend you, in fact one of my friends have already asked for your details, they are getting married next year.  Please thank your husband for the photos he took, he worked very hard on the night to include everyone. Once again my hearty thanks to you both.”

– Ethna

This function was  a little further afield for Heart and Soul Disco,  in Essex!  A lovely old Hotel in Colchester, with a function room filled with character.  Although a little tight for space, we managed to get our compact 4′  DJ rig in place, and out of the way. Compact set up with 8 lights, and of course our very latest Mackie Speakers and Pioneer Controller.  The dance floor remained full all evening, including a surprise drumming session by a drummer from the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony, with backing tracks supplied by Heart and Soul.

”Hi, thanks for such a great evening. We all had a really good time, and the guests were all talking about you at the end.  We will be recommending your disco.”

– Clare and Henar (Southwater, Horsham)

Well, there is nothing like a mobile disco for a 13th birthday to test your current chart selection – and I am pleased to say we had it all! This party was a referral from the last one we did, at the same, excellent venue. Lovely party in Maidenbower Pavillions, and here are some of the comments:

“I had a great time, thanks” – Abigail (party girl)

“You were brilliant, I don’t know how you do it” – Natalie (mum)

“Did you all have a good time?”  ”YEEESSSS”A crowd of very happy and exhausted teenagers!

A lovely Beatles themed mobile disco recently completed in Horsham, West Sussex. The Client had around 90 guests, and we set up on the stage.  Since they were combining the disco with a Beatles Quiz, we provided a cordless microphone and PA for quizmaster, and played background music during the quiz and the catered evening buffet.  We brought along 137 beatles tracks, which was more than we needed, but gave us a good selection for the evening.

“Thank you very much for this evening, maestro, it was lovely!” – Derek

“Thanks for everything tonight, it was just right, the music was perfect”Debbie (organiser)

”I love your lighting display, its quite spectacular” – guest

We ended on a round of applause for us from the guests, in what was a lovely evening overall.
