Following a recent function for their friends, which was a great success, Heart and Soul Mobile Disco were booked by Emily and Harriet for a joint 14th birthday party in Woking, Surrey.  This was a large party, 90 teenagers were invited.  Parties at this age are always quite tricky, particularly when mixed, as they are almost “too cool” to play party games, and a little shy to really relax in front of the opposite sex! However, after a while, ( we were booked for 3 1/2 hours) it warmed up nicely, and on top of very current chart hits, some of the old favourites went down well.

“we had a lovely evening, everything was just right, thank you very much.” -Emily

“the music was so good I couldn’t resist a dance myself!” – A mum

“Hi there, Thanks you so much for being communicative and coming back to me and chasing up. You have been so proactive and friendly and that is definitely what someone wants! We have had so many problems with people just not responding to queries and you were brilliant. You seem very helpful and professional and I’ll definitely mention you should anyone else enquire and should we need to hire a DJ in future. Many thanks again.”

Last night was a lovely intimate wedding party, the main event having taken place in the Caribbean. We were asked to continue the theme, and a playlist was requested containing a huge range of Reggae, which we interspersed between chart hits from the 80′s to current. The wedding disco venue was in Worthing, just off the seafront, with a huge dancefloor. As with all Wedding disco’s, there was a wide range of guests, and we juggled between a lot of requests for Tamla Motown, and very recent releases, from One Direction to The Wanted and Taylor Swift. We also managed to get some old favourites included, by request, and the dancefloor remained steadily full all night. I still can’t do Gangnam Style though, and by the look of things neither could the guests, but they had a great time anyway having a go!

” You guys did a super job, thank you” – John (Groom)
“Thank you for everything tonight, we had a fantasic time” – Belinda (Bride)

”We were so impressed with how well you read the crowd tonight, it almost felt like a school reunion because you played all the tracks we love!  Its exactly what we wanted, thank you so much.” -Sussex and Surrey Client

This was a lovely surprise 50th birthday party, held in Crawley, West Sussex.  We liaised discreetly with the organizer, and the family.  It was a good evening, from 7 to midnight, and we played a range of music from 70′s Motown and 80′s hits to current chart music. The younger guests were also pleased with the fact we had some of the very latest chart hits, some just released, when they requested them.

”Hi, we hope you will be able to use our e-mail as a testimonial on your website to help you in future. You were great from start to finish and we will recommend you to friends and family if ever we hear of a party!”
-Katy and Dave

This was a lovely wedding in an indoor marquee.  Heart and Soul provided the mobile disco for background music during the wedding breakfast, from a carefully planned selction of music we created beforehand.  This was a very large venue, with over 250 people expected so we used our latest Mackie active speakers which have excellent sound quality even at peak output, and a broad range of lighting.  We received lovely comments about our music selection, which provided a warm atmosphere throughout this large venue.  Our package included the provision of our PA and wireless microphone for speeches, and a customised playlist for the evening disco.  Following the first dance, the disco started in earnest and the dance floor remained full throughout the night.

” You did a Fab job on our wedding – we would be pleased to recommend you”  -Gemma, Bride

” You did a great job for us, you kept the dance floor full and the music was just right…. If we can help you by recommending you to clients, please don’t hestitate to contact us, we are happy to give you a testimonial”  -Steve, Groom.

This was a beautiful wedding in Farnham, Guildford, and Heart and Soul disco set up after the Wedding Breakfast, when the guests retired to the lawns to enjoy a solo guitarist.  On their return, we played light background music,  announcing the formalities, until the first dance.  As usual, some light music after the first dance while coffee and cake was served, and then we went into our customised playlist which accounted for guest requests made in advance.  The dance floor filled, and we were soon taking requests straight from the dance floor, which remained full until closing.

”Guys, I would be really pleased to recommend you to anyone.  You kept everyone dancing all night, and the limbo was fantastic!”  -Rina, Redhill.

This was a lovely tropical themed party, and we dressed to match the theme for the client.  We created a bespoke suitable tropical playlist, mixed with the clients request for Funk and R&B.  We ensured all the tracks were clean versions because there were a number of families and kids involved.  The client asked us to support them doing a limbo mid way through the evening, and we sourced and played suitable Hawaiian music.

“We just wanted to say a big THANK YOU again for all your help with our wedding! It was truly a wonderful day and we loved every second of it! We got so many compliments for the music, and if we ever get a chance to recommend you to anyone, we will. We were really happy with how you managed to keep everyone on the dancefloor! All the best to you!”

A beautiful wedding set in a Victorian Mansion in Guildford.  Not only were we thanked by the Bride and Groom, but a number of guests who had travelled quite a long way said it was the best wedding disco they have ever been to.!  I appreciate that seems quite OTT, but they all had a great time, and we were thanked by an older couple who had requested we played a few waltz’s before the first dance for them, as they also want to have a bit of a dance.  Having complemented us before leaving, on playing music ” to suit all generations at the Wedding”, they then promptly bounced back on to the dancefloor and danced arm in arm to a prodigy track!  We also provided a special request of ” Wild Thing” for a couple celebrating their 45th Anniversary that weekend, and you should have seen them move!
